And the winners are …

The 2016 BET Awards honoring your favorite singers, actors and actresses went down live, on Sunday, June 26 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Although the awards show had previously announced winners in two important categories including Samuel L. Jackson, who accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award and “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams, who was bestowed the Humanitarian Award, all eyes were on stars like Taraji P. Henson, Michael B. Jordan, Birdman and Toni Braxton and that epic Prince tribute.

“It’s an honor to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 BET Awards later this month,” Jackson said in a statement. “I’m humbled to be recognized by my peers and to join the company of the exemplary recipients before me.”

BET also provided a little background on Williams’ latest recognition ahead of the annual ceremony. “Jesse has proven to be a true pioneer of our generation,” the network said in a statement. “[He] is a refreshing new face of activism during a time of crisis in this country.”

Missed the announcements during last night’s broadcast? Don’t fret. We’ve got you covered. Keep scrolling for the complete list of winners at the 2016 BET Awards.
