Chicago mom tortures son’s genitials

A Chicago driver saw a disturbing sight: a 7-year-old boy running down the freeway in nothing but a pull-up diaper. When the driver called 911 to report the child, a tragic tale of abuse unfolded. It turned out that the boy had actually escaped his abusive mother identified as Caroline Woods, 24, and her boyfriend. When police questioned the child, he described horrific torture that he endured by his mother for what he could remember in his short time on this earth.

Police state that Woods forced the child to sleep in a closet covered in feces and regularly mistreated her son in the worst way possible. The child stated that his mother would burn his genitals with a curling iron and her boyfriend joined in by making him sit on a hot stove. According to police, the child was covered with injuries including a fresh cut above his left eye. When he was examined by medical staff at a hospital, a doctor stated he had never seen so many injuries on a human being. The boy also stated that his mother had beaten him with various objects that included an extension cord, baseball bat and pole.

Woods was arrested this week and appeared before a furious judge who ordered her held without bail for her crimes. She has been charged with aggravated battery of a child and aggravated battery using a deadly weapon. In addition, Woods’ two-year-old daughter has been put in protective custody along with her brother. According to police, the boy was malnourished and he stated that his mother fed him irregularly and would mainly give him okra and protein shakes for meals. The boyfriend of Woods has not been identified or arrested at this time, according to police.
