Azealia Banks and Russell Crowe have been a hot topic for days now after Banks got into a verbal and physical altercation with the actor during a Beverly Hills party. Not surprisingly, both sides have said the other was the antagonist in the situation and fans have been clamoring to find out the truth of the matter. Now, reports claim that police have hit a major roadblock in discovering the truth.
As previously reported, the incident happened after Banks’ former business collaborator RZA invited her to come with him to a hotel party with Crowe and several other “old Hollywood dudes.” Banks claims that she made a few jokes about Crowe’s career and that he took them to heart and began antagonizing her. After some words were exchanged, Banks claims that during the heated exchange Crowe called her the n-word.
Banks then claimed that Crowe choked her, physically threw her out of the party and spat on her.
However, Crowe’s team has denied Banks’ claims and say that she was antagonizing several guests at the party and that Crowe never spat on her or called her the n-word. Instead, they claim he only threw her out to keep her from becoming violent.
Recently, RZA weighed in on the drama and gave his eyewitness testimony that Crowe never called Banks the n-word. However, he did claim that the actor spat on the rapper.
“Before the night is over Azealia is insulting half the room she becomes loud and obnoxious,” RZA wrote about Banks. “There was nothing funny about her behavior. I felt a little embarrassed because she was my guest.”
With so many sides to the story, fans and authorities are wondering who is telling the truth. Naturally, police were going to look at the hotel’s video surveillance footage. However, reports claim that the hotel cameras missed the entire altercation.
Sources say that investigators have gone through several pieces of footage but none of the cameras caught anything that happened in or outside of the hotel room.
However, Banks doesn’t believe there’s no footage of the altercation. Instead, when a fan recently asked her where the tapes were, Banks claims Crowe has them, replying to the fan, “He bought the tapes!”
