Azealia Banks is celebrating Donald Trump’s win.
The controversial rapper used social media to celebrate Trump’s shocking win, revealing that she was especially happy that the former reality star “beat the liberal media.”
“I’m just sooooooo relieved,” she wrote via Facebook. “I’ve dealt with SO MUCH bulls— on behalf of the liberal media and to have someone beat the liberal media is just so refreshing and Inspiring.”
Later on, the 23-year-old echoed Trump’s now infamous remarks, “We beat the liberal media! Grab me by the p—-!” before referring to him as her “F—ING HERO.”
The celebration also extended to Instagram: “First off, I would like to apologize to Donald Trump for all the stupid jokes I made. (I was kidding). secondly, I would like to apologize for all the other times I was dumb enough to let the liberal media sway my opinion of you. Thirdly I’m f—— proud as F— of you. One for being a gemini, two for being from NYC, three for winning the presidency and four for beating the media. The last part is your biggest victory in my eyes and I must say that I am TRULY inspired by this and feel deep amounts of vindication. Thanks for letting me know that I’m not crazy (even though I fronted a few times) liberals run hollywood and it’s been a COLD WORLD OUT HERE FOR ME AS A TRUMP SUPPORTER ?. Best of luck on everything and thanks again. Sincerely – AB #TRUMP2017,” she wrote, alongside a snap highlighting the election’s final electoral vote.
Not to our surprise, Banks’ endorsement ruffled a few feathers. Followers began gunning for the musician, claiming that her backing the Republican only confirmed their belief, that she is “mentally ill.”
In true Azealia fashion, she replied, “Wow, so since a black woman didn’t support Clinton, she’s mentally ill …” before telling fans they needed to “get some of this crazy” in order to be as talented and impactful as she.
“Y’all need to RELAX, the democrats have been playing on your fear to convince you to vote for them. Stop being scared !!!
I truly feel bad because Hilary supporters are actually good people. But honestly, she has been using the media to prey on your fears to SCARE you into voting for her. THIS IS AMERICA. WE WILL BE FINE WE ALWAYS ARE,” she concluded in a final post.
