It appears it’s smooth sailing for Fetty Wap and the mother of his child, Masika Kalsha.
On Friday night, Dec. 9, the “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood” star, 31, and rapper, 25, stepped out for a low-key date night, TMZ reports. The pair were spotted entering Craig’s in West Hollywood and Fetty even dished about what he’s learned about fatherhood so far.
“We’re working on it right now,” the rapper said when asked about co-parenting. “You’ve got to stay out of jail when you get older,” he continued referencing his desire to be present for his child.
Of course, the road to reconciliation has been riddled with drama. On March 29, the reality star announced the birth of her daughter, Khari Barbie Maxwell. “She’s here. I’ve never seen anything so perfect in my entire life. I’m so in love with you #KBM,” she wrote on Twitter. “I can’t believe she’s ours.”
Hours later, Kalysha shared another sentiment, only this time, tagging Fetty, who according to reports, dropped everything to hop on a plane bound for Los Angeles, where Kalysha gave birth — despite rumors he was denying all claims he fathered the child. “Best day of my life @fettywap #KBM,” she tweeted.
Fast-forward to June and the pair were embroiled in a Twitter feud after Kalysha accused Fetty of being a deadbeat dad. The drama ensued after the hip-hop star posted a picture featuring Khari while noting her beauty.
After catching wind of the post, Kalysha fired off a series of subtle tweets seemingly aimed at Fetty, writing, “Smile through the bull—-” and “Social media dadding is at an all-time high.”
Not to our surprise, the “Trap Queen” recording artist wasn’t all that thrilled about the shady comments and opted to sound off with his own diss.
Of course, Kalysha didn’t take his comments lying down and fired back once more, this time, attacking his parenting skills (or lack thereof).
Looks to us like the couple has finally started a new (peaceful) chapter. What are your thoughts on the duo making peace (for now)? Sound off in the comment section below.
