It’s no secret that life at home for Bobbi Kristina Brown and Whitney Houston was far from peaceful as both stars dealt with their own personal battles with substance abuse and volatile romantic relationships. Although it seemed like Houston and Brown were each other’s port in the storms of their lives, a new TV special claims that the two women also had a volatile relationship and that things actually became violent between them.
In a new TV special, “Autopsy: The Last Hours of Bobbi Kristina Brown,” which aired on Reelz last night, Feb 11, celebrity expert Ian Halperin, who also wrote the book, Whitney and Bobbi Kristina The Deadly Price of Fame, claimed in the TV special that despite how much unconditional love that Houston and Brown had for each other, their relationship was rocky as well.
Halperin claims that Brown was well aware of how unstable her mother was while dealing with her drug addictions and the two two women actually got into heated altercations.
“She knew her mother was a ticking time bomb because of all the drugs, all of the emotional fragility,” he said on the special. “She would try not to go against her, although there were a couple of times when violence broke out. She once tried to stab her mother!”
As fans know, Houston died in 2012 after being found submerged face down in her hotel bathtub. Brown died in an eerily similar way in 2015, just six months after she was found submerged face down and unconscious in her bathtub in her Georgia home. Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, denied that he had anything to do with her death but last year he was found legally liable for her death after Brown’s estate filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against him.
Although Brown had turbulent relationships with both Houston and Gordon, a forensic pathologist who reviewed her autopsy claimed in the TV special that there were signs that Brown tried to hurt herself and that she may have even tried to commit suicide.
