Janet Jackson is “back in control,” following her split from husband Wissam Al Mana.
Previously reported, earlier this month, we learned that the pair had called it quits after just five years of marriage. A source told the Daily Mail, who was first to report the news, “Sadly, Janet and Wissam have decided that it wasn’t working and to go their separate ways. They’re both busy people but determined to be good parents, even if they’re apart. It’s amicable and Eissa will stay with his mother, who is basing herself in London.”
Though Al Mana appeared to be optimistic or at least hopeful for a resolution, taking to his website, writing, “To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for your divine love, your eternal support and for being my best friend.” Adding, “I love you so much, inshallah we will be together in the Great Forever x,” a source close to the family recently told ET that the singer is moving on, just a few short months after welcoming their first child together, a bouncing baby boy.

“They are amicable,” the source revealed of the pair’s co-parenting dynamic for son Eissa, whom they welcomed in January. “Janet hates mess just like Michael [Jackson] did and would have preferred to keep the split as quiet as possible.”
Now, it appears that Jackson has put family first. According to multiple outlets, she is currently staying with her brother Randy Jackson in London. The siblings were spotted enjoying a Bruno Mars concert in Birmingham, England, earlier this week, ET reports.
“As the babies of the family, they have an unbreakable bond,” the insider explained. “She trusts him more than anyone.”
This is the third divorce for Jackson, 50, who was previously married to James DeBarge and René Elizondo, Jr.
