NBA player Rashad McCants, 32, tells the Charlotte Observer that Khloé Kardashian gave him a bad rap, which cost him tens of millions of dollars. The two dated briefly from 2008-09. His tale is a cautionary one that could have possibly saved Lamar Odom from his public humiliation and shame on behalf of Kardashian’s reality TV-dominating family.
McCants dated Kardashian before she married Odom. On an episode of “Khloe And Kourtney Take Miami” in 2008, Khloé allegedly left an impression that McCants cheated on her.
McCants says it was all fake and because he had already split from Khloe. In September 2009, Kardashian married then-Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom. They were officially divorced in October 2016.
McCants told the Queen City media outlet that his biggest regret in life was his “highly-publicized relationship with Kardashian late in his career, which he said gave people an opportunity to doubt his commitment to the NBA.”
“Without that situation in play, I’m a $60-70M player,” McCants tells the reporter. “Easily.”
In early 2009, the shooting guard was traded to the Sacramento Kings. In September, he was traded to the Houston Rockets. Since 2010, he’s played for non-NBA teams. He’s a free agent.
