La La Anthony is very appreciative of how comedian Chris Rock complimented her beauty profusely. During a recent interview with the Daily Mail, the “Power” actress responded to reports that her estranged husband, Carmelo Anthony was fuming that the comedian allegedly made some very flattering comments about his wife.
“By the way, I don’t think Melo knew anything about it. People just write anything, but shout out to Chris Rock – I’m glad I’m on his list,” she said laughing.
Contrary to popular belief and media reports, Lala Anthony said she is not ready to divorce her husband, a forward for the New York Knicks. The couple split earlier this year after C-Melo was allegedly caught cheating and reportedly is the father of a secret love child.
When the publication asked if she was ready to cut ties to Carmelo permanently, La La had this to say:
“Not right now, I’m not. You know marriages are tough. And you know that, we all know that. It’s filled with ups and downs and we’re just going through a time right now, but him and I are the best of friends and our number one commitment is to our son, Kiyan. We have to set an example to Kiyan and that’s what’s most important.”
This has to be encouraging news for their 10-year-old son, with a sliver of hope that the parents will get back together. If anything, LaLa gushes over how good a father Carmelo Anthony is to their son.
“So I would absolutely never say a bad thing about my husband. That’s my son’s father and he is an amazing dad. I could NOT ask for a better dad.”
So … naturally, the question is: what is the possibility that La La can reconcile with her b-balling husband?
“I don’t know what the future holds. I just know that we’re doing an incredible job being parents to our son. We are the best of friends. I’ve been with Melo since he was 19 years old. Like, you’re not with someone for that long and it just goes out the window. I love him with all of my heart. And we are the best of friends.”
Meanwhile, La La claims she is not dating anyone, but has spent the balance of her time focusing on herself.
