Holly Hentges, 41, and her sons Nicholas Franklin, 21, and a 16-year-old are charged with aggravated murder in the June 18, 2017, beating death of Charles Foster, 49. a welder who lived about a mile from them.
Hentges’ younger son was also charged in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court with aggravated burglary and kidnapping. The trio forced their way into Foster’s home in the 3100 block of West 97th Street in the West Boulevard neighborhood and attacked him.
On Thursday, June 29, they were arrested by U.S. Marshals.
They were captured on surveillance cameras, according to court records,
Mama Hentges was convicted in 2002 of endangering children, for allowing a man living with her to sell crack cocaine near a child. She was given a suspended six-month jail sentence.
She also has been convicted of misdemeanors for disorderly conduct and for allowing her juvenile kids to be out past curfew. Franklin has a juvenile court record that includes misdemeanor convictions for drug possession and assault.
The victim, a father-of-five, and a grandfather would have celebrated his 50th birthday on July 4. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner ruled Foster’s death a homicide from blunt force trauma.
There is no motive in this homicide.
