Serena Williams wants your help packing her hospital bag.
On Friday, the tennis champ and expectant mother, 35, used Reddit, her fiancé Alexis Ohanian’s website, to ask users for advice.
In a thread titled, “When did you pack your hospital bag,” Williams posed the question: “[One] month before? 6 weeks? 8 weeks? I’m totally stalling.” In addition, the mother-to-be wrote, “But I have a lot of time still … I think. … Anything you didn’t expect to need that I’ll really appreciate having in there?”
Of course, it wasn’t long before Williams was flooded with tips from moms: “Some of my favorite snacks,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “Your favorite things like lotion and body wash.”
“Besides the obvious (phone charger, hair ties) I liked having my own water bottle (klean kanteen),” another user wrote. “I wish I had brought my own towel! The hospital towel was tiny and scratchy and sad. I packed my bags about a month before and definitely over-packed but I didn’t mind it too much. Good luck!!”
This isn’t the first time Williams has enlisted the help of social media users. In July, questioned Twitter about tips on how to turn over at night.
Earlier this week, the sports pro revealed that while she hasn’t spent much time around babies, she welcomes the challenge of becoming a “real woman.”
“I have so much respect for so many women [for giving birth],” she said. “I am about to be a real woman now, you know? It’s going to be something incredibly impressive to go through,” she told Australian magazine Stellar. “[But] I think [giving birth] will give me more strength, if that’s possible, and a lot more confidence. I feel like I will be ready for anything.”
Last week, the 23-time Grand Slam champion celebrated her impending motherhood with an adorable ‘50s-themed baby shower in West Palm Beach, Florida. Among the guests were Williams’ sister, Venus; along with Ciara, Kelly Rowland and Eva Longoria.
The baby is due this fall.
