Four-time Olympic gold medalist Sanya Richards-Ross, 32, and former football star Aaron Ross welcomed their first child together.
According to People, the pair gave birth to a son, Aaron Jermaine Ross II, at 3:50 a.m. early Saturday morning. He was 7 lbs., 13 oz. and 21 inches long.
As previously reported, the dynamic duo revealed in February that they were expanding their family, telling People, “Many parts of our lives have felt like a fairy tale, but this is our biggest blessing yet.” They added, “We are so excited to start a family and can’t wait to begin this new adventure!”
In mid-June, the expectant couple celebrated their impending parenthood with a Texas-based bash. “I don’t know where to start!!!! #BabyRoss’ shower was filled with more love and well wishes than I could have ever prayed for,” Richards-Ross wrote alongside a cute snap beautifully baring her baby bump.
The shower, planned by Yolande Kelly of YVK Events, was adorned with vivd floral arrangements by STEMS Floral Design + Productions in bold blue and purple hues, the entertainment site reported at the time. Guests lounged on plush white sofas and clear chairs provided by Monarch Event Rentals/BBJ Linen. Each table was topped with faux trees made of flowers, candles, and acrylic accents from Scripted Ever. On a backdrop, the pair revealed their child’s name, accented with Baby Ross’ monogram: Aaron Jermaine Ross Jr.
In 2010, the sports pros cemented their relationship by wedding on Richards-Ross’ birthday, after seven years of dating. Ross, 34, is a retired NFL cornerback and is a two-time Super Bowl champion who previously played for the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens. Although Richards-Ross retired ahead of the 2016 Olympics, she is also an author. In other words, the new parents are in a perfect place to raise their newborn.
Congrats to the couple on beginning a new chapter. Show them some love in the comment section below.
