Fitness enthusiast and spokesmodel Hannah Bronfman has used social media and her passion for fitness to spark a following for living a healthy lifestyle.

“I’ve always been a pretty active person. I did ballet when I was a kid and played group sports in high school. My grandmother actually suffered from anorexia, when she was young, and it kind of stayed with her, her whole life. She passed away when I was 19, and it was a huge eye-opening experience for me. That’s when I really devoted myself to living my happiest and healthiest lifestyle,” says Bronfman, who was born and raised in New York City and studied fine arts at Bard College.

The birth of HBFIT

“I am not a fitness instructor, but I call myself a fitness enthusiast. I really enjoy working out, trying all different things, and sharing that with the community. Eventually, I started a wellness platform called HBFIT, which stands for health, beauty, and fitness. We have a YouTube, newsletter, and a dot-com where we do collaborations as well as content in those three different verticles,” Bronfman explained.

Social medial influencer

With social media growing as a whole, many people are taking advantage of the free publicity, and using social media to build their brand. Bronfman shared how she got her start in the industry, and how it later led to a brand sponsorship.

“I cultivated a following on Instagram in terms of my healthy living and showcased that. By showing different recipes, different workouts, and talking to different experts in the wellness world. I guess Adidas took notice of that, so I’ve been working with them since 2016 and they have been super supportive in everything I want to do. They have been an incredible brand to work with,” she said.

Queried about what it takes to successfully build your brand and become the next big social media influencer, Bronfman said, “It really comes down to consistency and execution. People can talk all day long, but until you do it, it doesn’t mean anything. I’m a really big person on execution. In general, it is really important to be inspired by people and seek out your mentors. It’s like you have to eat, sleep, and breathe your mission statement and passion. But most importantly stay focused on you.”
