The Rolling Out  Innovation Digital Entertainment (RIDE) Conference was held at the Loudermilk Conference Center in downtown Atlanta and it was a huge success. Upon entering the venue, participants were greeted at the door and once inside you could feel the electricity in the room. This was rolling out‘s inaugural conference and nothing was left to chance. Each panelist and workshop was intended to share and exchange information in a space conducive to educating and economically empowering those who attended.

“The Black excellence was real and that’s what I loved about this conference. I connected with like minded people and different fields organically. I have never been in a space like that before,” said attendee Va’lesa Dunlap, a student at Spelman College.

If you did not have an opportunity to attend RIDE, here are the top five reasons it was amazing.

The atmosphere

There is something to be said about learning in an environment that is comfortable and not pretentious. This could have easily been an event where a group of celebrities would come out for photo opportunities with the intention of promoting their latest work. This was not the case at RIDE. The who’s who of the business and entertaiment worlds commingled with attendees for frank and enlightening discussions. Every detail from the music down to the food was created with the intention of adding value.
