“I ain’t never seen nothing like this in my life,” said a custodial worker at The Little Caesars Arena. Detroit rapper Tee Grizzley, Young Jeezy, and Chris Brown set the Little Caesars Arena ablaze at the annual Big Show on Dec. 28. Each performer felt the eruption of fans’ voices as they performed their set of songs for the thousands who were in attendance. With each passing intermission, fans swarmed outside to the concession stands to load up on spirits and food, so they could experience the full effect of the show.
Tee Grizzley represented for the home crowd by performing his hit song “First Day Out.” Jeezy then followed, by performing his classic guest verses on “Geeked Up,” and “They Know.” He then turned back the hands of time by revisiting classic songs from Thug Motivation 10, The Recession, and his newest album, Pressure. Chris Brown ended up closing out the show with a short set which included performances of “Ayo,” “Loyal,” and mid-2000 jams “Yo (Excuse Me Miss),” and “Poppin.” Detroit came to represent at The Little Caesars arena as mink coats dragged on the shiny floors, and eyes covered up by Cartier frames peered out into the cold, snowy night after the event. The energy was infectious, and rolling out documented every second of the event.
