The corners of your mouth reflexively rise when you take in the growing wonder girl that is Beyoncé and Jay Z’s daughter Blue Ivy. Including what she did at 2018 Grammy Awards, there is already a handful of moments that the royal couple’s eldest daughter turned into lasting memories.
While Compton’s Kendrick Lamar blazed the stage with his political commentary through melodies, and Cardi B tickled us and treated us with her eccentricities, and Bruno Mars snatched up many of the most important Grammy awards, six-year-old Blue Ivy was arguably the biggest star of the night — and she didn’t even leave her chair.
When singer Camila Cabello introduced U2 to the stage, the cameras cut to Jay and Bey as they clapped. Baby Blue, who was already angelic-looking in a white suit and silver shoes, was captured by the cameras putting up her hand and solemnly gesturing towards her parents to cease clapping for the moment.
“I have no idea what Blue Ivy is doing but I’m here for it,” one commentator stated about the instantly viral and iconic moment.
