Could divorce be next for Bill Cosby?

Could divorce be next for Bill Cosby?

Rumors are currently flying that things are getting difficult in the life of embattled comedian Bill Cosby and his wife of more than 50 years, Dr. Camille Cosby. According to media outlet RadarOnline, a family insider has stated that the recent death of his daughter, Ensa, due to kidney failure has strained the marriage to the breaking point.

The family insider told the outlet, “Ensa’s death was the final straw. Camille’s taking what’s left of Bill’s dwindling $400 million fortune and heading out the door!”

Apparently, Cosby and Ensa had a tumultuous relationship because of her alleged use of illicit drugs. According to the family insider, she asked her father not to “disappoint Mom anymore,”

This is a familiar story for many who also knew Cosby’s daughter, Errin, who as a student at Atlanta’s Spelman College, had a very public issue with drugs that led to her telling her parents she intended to drop out her sophomore year. By all accounts, Cosby took a very hard line when it came to his kids and substance abuse. He stated during an interview with the LA Times about Errin, “She can’t come here,” he said. “She’s not a person you can trust. This particular daughter appears to be the only one who is really very selfish. … She’s never held down a job, never kept an apartment for more than six months. She never finishes anything. She uses her boyfriends. She wants the finer things but can’t stand anybody’s else’s dirt, which is important.”

However, Cosby never applied the same criteria to himself when he gave Quaaludes to women over the years as he admitted in depositions.

Camille Cosby has been very private about her relationship with her husband and has supported him despite his admission of infidelity. As Cosby’s retrial is fast approaching it seems unlikely that the family would change its close-knit support.
