Once again, something strange has occurred in Florida; this time at a Wendy’s restaurant in the town of Cutler Bay. It was there that a disheveled and sweaty Joaquin Labaut, 35, began acting erratically and police were called to the scene.

Initially, two female officers responded and calmly gave Labaut, who is 6′3″ and 240 pounds instructions but he would not comply. Both officers then deployed tasers hitting Labaut, who then ran behind the counter into the food prep area causing employees to run screaming in terror. The officers repeatedly told Labaut to get on the ground and applied more voltage to little avail, as he simply shrugged it off. Soon another, another officer arrived on the scene and began to beat Labaut repeatedly on the legs and kneecaps with his baton. Initially, repeated blows had no impact on Labaut.

Another officer arrived on the scene and Labaut made a run for the exit before tripping over a table. He was then swarmed and subdued by officers. Labaut has been charged with three counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, one count of simple battery, one count of disorderly conduct, four counts of resisting an officer without violence and three counts of resisting an officer with violence

A video of the encounter has gone viral and can be seen below.  (NSFW)
