The 2018 BET Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx was filled with many memorable moments, from the stars that graced the red carpet, to the amazing performances, and even the winners of this year’s award show.
Some of the highlights included:
Maybach Music Group’s Meek Mill delivered a riveting and politically-poignant performance via a police brutality-themed “Stay Woke!” song to work in conjunction with his work on prison reform.
Jamie Foxx and a triad of singers including Ledisi, Yolanda Adams and Marsha Ambrosius showed reverence for eight-time Grammy Award-winner Anita Baker, who was presented the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Singer and activist John Legend was on-hand to give out a bevy of awards to those that displayed heroics and bravery when their number was called on to step up to the plate.
