Teyana Taylor had fans shook when she announced she’d immediately be headlining her very own tour titled “Keep That Same Energy.”
Previously, Taylor was on the “Later That Night Tour” with singer Jeremih as the headliner. However, things quickly changed when Taylor tweeted:
It all started on social media when Taylor blasted Jeremih via Instagram live, saying that she would no longer be on tour with him due to his diva-ish ways. Of course, Jeremih’s fans were not at all happy. But Jeremih’s fans’ emotions were of no concern for the “Rose in Harlem” singer because she made good on her promise and now she’s headlining her own tour in cities throughout the U.S. It appears that Taylor emerged victorious in this spat between divas.
Taylor’s first stop as a headliner on #KTSEOnAlseVII was in Detroit this past weekend. The entire concert embodied massive amounts of feminine energy. The opening acts included new cast member of “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood,” LaBritney Franklin; fellow Def Jam recording artist DaniLeigh; and special guest, Detroit rapper Kash Doll. All of the women delivered alluring, seductive and irresistible performances on stage.
Taylor served up a sexy biker girl persona, using her dirt bike as a prop on stage. She sported black leather hip cut pants and a provocative leather cone bra. Each of her dancers wore fishnet tights, leather shorts, and black leather lace-up crop tops. Fans eyes were glued to the “Fade” dancer, and shouted words of admiration such as “body goals,” as Taylor moved across the stage with her amazing choreography.
The show was both moving and memorable, from (LaBritney) Franklin surprising the audience with special guest and fellow native Detroiter Kash Doll, to DaniLeigh’s flawless dance moves. The show also involved a seductive lap-dance that involved Kash Doll being strapped to a chair; to a more compassionate side with Taylor shedding tears in front of the crowd during her heart to heart moment. During Taylor’s performance of “Never Would Have Made It,” she shared her breakthrough moment of headlining her own tour, and the love she has for Detroit. She also shared a tribute to the late iconic Aretha Franklin, with video playbacks of Aretha’s best moments. This show was definitely one for the books.
Let’s all wish Taylor the best of luck with this new tour. Check her social media pages for tour details.
