GMC recently hosted a premium tailgate in partnership with ESPN Monday Night Football. The event took place before the Atlanta Falcons faced-off against the New York Giants at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta.

The tailgate featured catered food, drinks, music and several top GMC vehicles which included the 2019 Sierra Denali, 2019 Sierra AT4, and 2019 Yukon Denali.

Mikhael Farah, GMC Communications, gave a preview of the 2019 GMC Sierra Denali during the tailgate and before the Monday Night Football showdown .

What are some of the new features in the 2019 GMC Sierra Denali?

The 2019 GMC Sierra Denali is a brand new truck from the ground up. It’s all-new, redesigned, and re-engineered. Some of the really cool things in this truck is the integration of technology, with industry-firsts in this segment including the Rear Camera Mirror that turns the regular rear-view mirror into an HD screen to see what’s behind you, and a 15-inch Heads-Up Display. It also comes with heated and cooled seats, a feature that is usually reserved for luxury vehicles.”

What makes the 2019 GMC Sierra Denali the ultimate tailgate vehicle?

Our six-wave multifunction tailgate, which we call the MultiPro tailgate. The point of a truck is to have a tailgate, but we took that to the next level with six wave multifunction tailgate. This helps you utilize your truck both at an actual football tailgate or when you’re going down to Home Depot to pick up some stuff from the store. Other than the multi-pro tailgate, we have something called the kicker speaker accessory. You can access via Bluetooth, through USB, or auxiliary cord. You can actually play your music from the speakers to go into the tailgate. So it’s really the ultimate tailgate vehicle. On top of that, the truck gained about seven inches in overall width in the back, so you can have your friends back there hanging out and sitting on seats, enjoying a nice night before the game.

What can owners of the 2019 Sierra Denali expect in terms of interior space?

Your rear passengers are going to notice the most amount of space. We gained about three inches in the backseats alone in that area. Overall, two inches in the wheel base and overall inch in the back length. But the rear seat passengers gained about three inches.  They almost have their own zip code back there to hang out, sit back, relax, and enjoy on a nice long road trip.
