Gabrielle Union hasn’t “showered or slept” in days after welcoming her
baby girl into the world.
The 46-year-old actress and her husband Dwyane Wade revealed they had undergone a secret surrogacy as they announced the arrival of their “miracle baby” girl on Nov. 8.
And on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, Union shared with her 11.1 million followers just how she was settling into motherhood, admitting she was both “stinky” and “in heaven.”
Alongside a picture of her cradling the newborn, the new mom wrote on her Instagram Story: “So perhaps I haven’t showered or brushed my teeth or slept.
“But I’m in heaven. I stink but I’m happy. (sic)”
Union revealed her daughter had been born one day earlier in a note that read: “A LOVELY DAY. We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our little miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl! (sic)”
The post also included some lyrics to the Bill Withers song “Lovely Day,” as well as three pictures of the happy couple with their new bundle of joy.
Basketball star Dwyane — who already has Zaire, 16, Zion, 11, and Xavier, 4, from previous relationships — posted the same message in a tweet on his own account, alongside the same picture.
