Nissan’s best selling vehicle in the U.S. is its compact crossover SUV Rouge. Since 2017, the company has garnered much success with the top-selling Rouge. The new 2019 Rouge SL FWD should be able to continue making its mark in the compact SUV category.
Since the 2018 model, Nissan did some extensive enhancements to the Rouge. One thing, in particular, they added additional safety features such as the Safety Shield 360. Safety Shield 360 is a suite of six safety and driver-assist technologies. “Safety Shield 360 combines six advanced systems to give models like Altima and Rogue a class-leading package of technologies that can improve safety and the overall driving experience for Nissan owners,” said Denis Le Vot, chairman, Nissan North America.
Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite includes front, side and rear sensing technologies. The six key advanced systems cover the car from bumper-to-bumper. Nissan has introduced this new technology as standard equipment on SV and SL grades of the 2019 Rogue, 2019 Rogue Sport and the all-new 2019 Altima. Some features include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Automatic Braking.
There is a range of additional highlights that can be found on the 2019 Rouge SL.
- Heated exterior mirrors with integrated LED turn signals
- Heated driver and front passenger seats
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel
- Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) and Rear Sonar System
Nissan has smartly priced all available models. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price ranges from $24,800 to $32,740. The 2019 Rouge SL FWD was test-driven at $35,130.
