Nearly three weeks after Nipsey Hussle’s untimely death, the female getaway driver may finally be arrested. Footage from a surveillance camera revealed that the woman, who has yet to be identified, may have lied to police about her role in the shooting.
On March 31, 2019, Nipsey Hussle reportedly exchanged words with Eric Holder — the primary suspect in the fatal shooting — while at The Marathon Clothing store in the Crenshaw community of South Los Angeles. Nipsey and Holder shook hands, and Holder left the scene only to return later.
Holder was driving the car and parked it in an alley next to The Marathon Clothing store, according to surveillance footage obtained by TMZ. After leaving the vehicle, a female passenger allegedly moved over to the driver’s seat and kept the car’s engine on. Once Holder shot and killed Nipsey, he allegedly jumped back into the car and the female driver sped away.
The female driver was initially questioned by police, but she was allowed to leave after claiming that she did not know Holder was about to shoot Nipsey. The new evidence may finally lead to an arrest as authorities continue to investigate the woman.
On April 11, 2019, family, friends and fans of Nipsey Hussle packed the Staples Center in Los Angeles to pay tribute to a man whose impact in the community may have exceeded his achievements in music.
