Nickelodeon alum-turned-rapper-turned-country singer, Miley Cyrus has taken sides in the ongoing cold war between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
Most hip-hop heads are probably shaking their heads at Cyrus, who scored a rap hit with Mike Will Made It and Wiz Khalifa called “23” before completely denouncing rap music as an art form in a scathing interview with Rolling Stone.
Now that she is returning to the rap scene that she trashed before returning to her country music roots, Cyrus told fans who she prefers between the two superstars while performing at the BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival.
In the rap son “Cattitude,” Cyrus reportedly spit the bars “I love you Nicki, but I listen to Cardi.”
Cyrus also joined in on the memes born from her performance that quickly went viral, sharing and posting variations of the verse that fans created such as “I love you me, but I listen to Ari” or “I love you Miley, but I listen to Hannah.”
As most fans know, Cardi B tried to lay hands — and her shoe — on Nicki Minaj after their escalating war of words escalated into a brief brawl during New York Fashion Week in Manhattan.
Nicki also confronted Cyrus live on the MTV VMA Awards, asking Cyrus “What’s good?” after they had some verbal skirmishes. But reportedly the icy relations from all sides have thawed.
So what do you think about Cyrus picking sides between Cardi B and Nicky Minaj? And do you believe that Cyrus should have her hip-hop card revoked?
