The signs were everywhere.
Fans of Porsha Williams and the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” knew something was going on when, in May, Williams stopped following fiancé Dennis McKinley on Instagram. Williams’ sister and mother also stopped following McKinley on the same day, but Porsha Williams re-followed her fiancé two days later.
Secondly, Williams set off more alarm bells when she posted a photo on Instagram of her “family” vacation near Miami that consisted of just her and daughter, Pilar Jhena, on Father’s Day weekend without McKinley.
Lastly, fans immediately took noted in the photo that Williams was no longer wearing her sparkling wedding ring. And she had un-followed McKinley for the second time in one month.
Now it is official, according to E! News and People magazine: McKinley and Williams have broken off the engagement and are no longer a couple.
The news comes just three months after Williams gave birth to their daughter on March 22, 2019.
The couple had gotten engaged at the close of September last year and made it official on October 1, 2018. They were scheduled to get married this coming New Year’s Eve.
The last few months, however, have been thick with drama and stress for the reality show pair. Rumors ran rampant that McKinley was having an affair with another reality TV star and had engaged in unsavory behavior in previous relationships.
Williams also said that trying to finalize their prenup agreement had proved to be an arduous task, which is why she put the matter off after she learned she was pregnant with PJ last year.
Another sign that there was tumult behind the scenes, Williams posted this cryptic message on Thursday, June 20, that fellow reality stars Cynthia Bailey and Dr. Heavenly Kimes supported with a heart and praying-hand emojis:
