Wendy Williams’ soon-to-be ex-husband Kevin Hunter has made it clear that he will appear in court with his namesake in order to continue the reconciliation process between the three.
Hunter, 46, said he wants to show “a united front,” the Daily Mail reports, therefore will appear in the same courtroom with Wendy and Kevin Jr., 19, as he is expected to enter a plea for reportedly assaulting his father.
As rolling out reported previously, Kevin Hunter Jr. was arrested on the night of May 21 when the father and son got into a physical altercation at Krauszer’s convenience store in West Orange, New Jersey, in proximity to Williams’ mansion.
Hunter told authorities he did not strike his son, but only wrestled with him after the son struck him in the nose to free himself from his father’s headlock. The argument emanated from Hunter Sr. reportedly telling Hunter Jr. to stop relying on Wendy for handouts. The conversation quickly degenerated from there.
The son was eventually arrested and charged with domestic violence simple assault.
Wendy filed for divorce from Hunter Sr. in April, shortly after Hunter Sr.’s reported mistress Sharina Hudson gave birth to their child in a Philadelphia-area hospital.
