Backed by a live band, Saadiq ran through a slew of his classic hits which included “Stone Rollin'” and “The Way I See It.” The show also featured surprise performances by BJ The Chicago Kid, Elle Varner, Wale and Mario.
The music added to the overall theme of Spotify House which displayed large photos and art of iconic artists and influential R&B albums. Featured artists included Patti LaBelle, Erykah Badu, Sade, Chaka Khan, Mary J. Blige, Destiny’s Child and H.E.R.
The Bar Room incorporated images of artists such as Jill Scott and Anita Baker; the Red Room featured images of neo-soul artists such as Solange and D’Angelo; the White Room featured images Musiq Soulchild and Janet Jackson.
