Former NFL superstar Mario Williams was arrested after he allegedly trespassed into the home of his ex-girlfriend.
According to the KHOU, Williams used a universal key that he purchased at a nearby store to gain entry into the woman’s garage at about 1 a.m. on Tuesday to argue about her allegedly hacking into his iCloud account.
According to TMZ Sports, “sources connected to the incident tell us Williams ‘broke into the home and began yelling at’ the woman who lives there. We’re told the woman was extremely emotional and screamed at him to get out.”
Williams was soon arrested and charged with a Class B misdemeanor for criminal trespassing into the home of the unidentified woman. He was later released on $100 bail and his next court appearance is scheduled for Aug. 27, 2019.
According to court documents obtained by KHOU, “A mental health or intellectual disability assessment has been ordered for Williams. Court documents also claim the woman filed a restraining order against Williams in May.”
Williams, a former All-American at North Carolina State, was the first pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. He made good on his hype as he became a four-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-NFL player with the Miami Dolphins and other teams. He finished his career in 2016 with nearly 100 sacks in 11 seasons.
