The 2019 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards ceremony was held on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019. The event honors the top artists, songwriters, music producers and publishers in the industry.
The BMI Awards, which is usually held at Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center in Midtown, relocated this year to the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center to host one of the biggest nights in music.
Brandy Norwood, who was being honored with the President’s Award, and other celebrities, including Eric Bellinger, Safaree and Jade Novah, hit the red carpet to show off their style.

Brandy – As seen above, the singer, actress and philanthropist looked beautiful in a colorful kimono and gold metal crown.
Eric Bellinger – The singer, songwriter and record producer always stands out with his pastel-colored hairstyles, and this year was no different. He wore a blue velvet suit jacket to accent his black shirt and pants.
Jade Novah – The singer who presented Brandy with the BMI President’s Award rocked the red carpet in a beautiful emerald mini dress.
Safaree – The rapper hit the carpet with a colorful tiger print shirt while showing off his jewelry collection.
DC Young Fly – Atlanta’s own, comedian DC Young Fly, showed up on the red carpet in all black.
NLE Choppa – The young rapper hit the BMI Awards red carpet in a classic blue suit accented with some ice around his neck and wrist.
Kierra Sheard – The gospel singer came to the BMI Awards rocking all black, with a floor-length, long-sleeved, corset-style blouse and sequined pants.
