Guyger was also asked by prosecutors why she did not notice different furniture in the home once she walked inside. And following the shooting, Guyger was standing outside of Botham’s door instead of attempting to do CPR on him when authorities arrived.
Guyger, who was fired from her job at Dallas Police Department after Botham’s death, continues to deny that she intentionally killed Botham and believed she needed to defend herself because her life was in danger.
The prosecution believes that Guyger’s mistake was unreasonable because she parked on the wrong floor of the apartment complex’s garage, Jean’s apartment looked different from hers on the outside and inside, and her key fob did not work on his lock.
The murder trial continues today in Dallas.
