Former “Empire” actor Malik Yoba became enraged when a reporter allegedly double-crossed him by asking if Yoba paid for sexual favors from a transsexual teen prostitute.
Yoba went volcanic and stormed out because the actor said he spent four hours with The Root’s reporter, Terrell Jermaine Starr. He said there was a previous alleged agreement not to ask about the teen prostitute while on camera, according to Page Six.
“You and I sat for four hours the other day and we decided how we were going to approach this,” said Yoba, who first came to fame via the “New York Undercover” drama series in the 1990s.
“It’s a setup. I don’t like this.”
The whole thing started when earlier in September Yoba admitted to being “trans attracted” to his Instagram followers while simultaneously denouncing the bullying of a certain transsexual who committed suicide. The next day, trans activist Mariah Lopez Ebony accused Yoba of paying her and other sex workers back in the 1990s.
When The Root reporter allegedly went back on his word and asked Yoba about Ebony, Yoba reportedly snapped, saying “I don’t know the woman … I have no idea who she is.”
A rep for Yoba told the publication that Yoba “categorically denies all allegations.”
Starr was undeterred by Yoba’s anger and continued asking questions about his trans-attraction and Yoba lost it, Page Six reports.
“I don’t appreciate this s - - - at all … We sat for four f—ing hours and you’re going to stay on some allegations. F— you! This [is] my f—ing life!”
