Does Ayurveda really work?
The answer is yes. Studies have proved that Ayurveda practices have helped to reduce pain and increase function in people with osteoarthritis while also helping to manage symptoms in people with Type 2 diabetes. Emotional and behavioral issues can also be treated through the use of Ayurveda. The list of ailments that it helps with goes on.
How do I start living an Ayurvedic lifestyle?
Start with your diet. Next to breathing, eating is our most vital source of energy that really affects our entire energy system. Depending on what dosha you fit into, there are specific foods that can help bring you into a state of wellness and foods you should avoid because they bring you into a state of illness. This is not one size fits all. Foods that work for some, may not work for others. To find out what dosha you fit into, search for “dosha quiz” online and you will find many free resources.
Is Ayurveda natural and safe?
Yes. Being in tune with nature is the Ayurvedic way. This system of healing focuses on your body’s natural needs to nurture your health and life. Being many thousands of years old and still strong in its results, it is very safe. However, it is always important to consult a medical professional or dietician to ensure you are following it properly in conjunction with other treatment plans.
To maintain a healthy holistic lifestyle, you have the power to choose your path. Holistic practices such as this help to get to the root of the problem and help prevent future issues, instead of just throwing a Band-Aid on it, so to speak. I encourage you to do more research on Ayurveda and try putting it into practice.
You’ll thank me later.
