His reporting was corroborated by Stephen A. Smith, arguably the nation’s most famous and popular sports reporter. Smith had this to say on ESPN’s “First Take” show, which he co-hosts:
“In my mind, the name that comes to mind is Jay-Z and Roc Nation,” he said. “Why? Clearly, there appears to be a collective effort to include these teams, with league approval, obviously” to get Kaepernick back on the field.

Other prominent figures, including Georgetown professor Michael Eric Dyson, forwarded conjecture that Jay-Z was front and center in the formulation of this Kaepernick event north of Atlanta.

Furthermore, ESPN’s Smith added that “at least 22 teams” will be in attendance at Kaepernick’s workout and that he will have a job “within two weeks” if the exiled quarterback can exemplify he is ready to play.
