Millions and Billions Music hosts fashion showcase for new designers

Millions and Billions Music, an Atlanta-based independent record label, hosted its first Noire Fashion Show on Saturday, Jan 11, 2020.

The event, held at 4 Corners Studio in Atlanta, was all about recognizing Black royalty, giving creatives of color an opportunity to showcase their talents and encouraging attendees to invest more of their money in Black businesses. It was hosted by Atlanta radio personalities Streetz 94.5’s infamous Fly Guy DC and Hot 107.9’s Questions With Qri, with sounds by DJ Von.

Seven up-and-coming local designers were featured during the fashion show, including Tai Savage of Viva La Savage, who was thrilled to be invited to show her designs.

“As a new designer this was an amazing opportunity for me,” Savage said. “Millions and Billions believed in my vision and pushed me to create some extraordinary pieces. I am so proud of the end results. It’s only up from here for Viva La Savage.”

Artists including Verlon and Mare Da Truth performed live during the show.

Rolling out spoke with Millions and Billions Music CEO Shon Brown about why it was important to host this event.

“I feel like fashion is the most slept-on industry in Atlanta,” Brown said. “I’ve always been the type of person where whatever is not working I want to make it work. I’m gonna try to go against the grain.”

The fashion show also provided an opportunity for vendors to sell their products. Check out the photo gallery above to view some of the designs from the Noire runway.
