Emerging R&B artist Mic Ventress gives us life with new single (video)

We heard that you’ve been an opening act for a lot of stars. Who have you worked with?

The universe has been kind to me, so I’ve had the opportunity to work with and open for Big Freedia, [and] I’ve opened for Lyfe Jennings and Trina, to name a few. They were all amazing. It’s a blessing when artists of their caliber see something in you and want to have you open their show.

What was the inspiration behind your latest project?

I’ve released a few singles recently. I have “Giving Me Life,” “Pretty Woman,” a workout single called “Sweat to That Beat,” and I did a [New Orleans] bounce remix to my single “I Like It.” More recently, coming up on June 5, I’ll be releasing a music video loosely inspired by the Pretty Woman movie for that single.
