What makes The Guilty Grape different?

Nichelle: As Black millennial women, we created The Guilty Grape for the culture and to help eliminate barriers between the wine industry and the Black millennial community. The Guilty Grape is fun, delicious, and great for all occasions. But unlike most wine brands, we created our blends with the needs and wants of Black people at the forefront of our process.

Our brand is here to be disruptive, to showcase our rich history within an industry that tells us we don’t exist in their world.

What advice do you have for Black women who are interested in this business?

Nicole: Black women are needed here. As the saying goes, “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.” Know that you won’t receive an invitation on a platinum platter. Know that your presence will be seen as disruptive and that’s OK. You are forging a new path for those to come after you. Don’t delicately walk into the world. Stomp, leaving a trail of crushed grapes.

Where can people purchase it?

Nichelle: The Guilty Grape’s Zinfandel Rosé is currently available for purchase on our website, www.TheGuiltyGrape.com.
