Some fans, while sympathizing and empathizing with Tommy Williams’ pain, nevertheless defended Wendy Williams, saying that some grieve differently. Others suggest that the talk show host could have been completely overwhelmed.
“Everybody grieve differently and maybe after going to the wake was a lot for her. Don’t be hard on your sister. In time she will open up and you all can have that conversation. May you have peace during this time and my prayers are with your family,” one comment read under Tommy Williams’ YouTube page.
“Some people just can’t handle funerals. It doesn’t mean they don’t love the deceased,” another person offered.
But some fans were not so sympathetic towards the talk show host.
“I do not understand why Wendy wouldn’t attend her Mom’s funeral. I’m shocked!”
