Black female legislator harshly arrested for opposing Georgia’s new voting laws

Joe Biden is outraged at the new voter suppression laws, which include making it a crime to hand voters a bottle of water while they wait in line.

“This is Jim Crow in the 21st Century. It must end,” Biden says in the statement released by the White House, according to CNN. “We have a moral and Constitutional obligation to act. I once again urge Congress to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to make it easier for all eligible Americans to access the ballot box and prevent attacks on the sacred right to vote.”

Cannon expressed gratitude to her supporters and insinuates she is hardly dissuaded from continuing to fight for fair election laws.
