Asiaha Butler brings pride and access to an outcast community

As a Black woman, what do you consider your superpowers to be?

My superpowers are resilience, innovation, vision, and [being an inspirational leader] with acute foresight to recognize the superpowers in others and provide a meaningful platform for those superpowers to shine.

What key skills or qualities make you unique as an African American female leader?

As an African American female leader [I embrace] the spirit of my ancestors and align them with my higher self to guide my work. I truly believe that operating from your best and higher self is the key to success in any career and I hone in on those skills every day with my role at RAGE.

Why is it important for more experienced Black women to reach back and help younger women of color?

As I think about the women of color who reached back and helped me, it was a great privilege to be in their space to receive their wisdom, knowledge and understanding which helped shape how I lead today.  It is important for Black women to support one another and mentor our future leaders so that they are prepared to lead the next generation.
