While season two of “Bridgerton” is currently in production, Rhimes’ next project to debut on Netflix will be the limited series “Inventing Anna.” The series will center on the con artist Anna Sorokin and is scheduled to begin streaming on January 1, 2022.
“Shonda makes shows that get the world talking, and we’ve seen the power of her creative vision to translate in any language. Shonda’s a brilliant businesswoman and a terrific partner and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with her for years to come,” Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s head of global TV, said to Deadline.
A “Bridgerton” spin-off based on Queen Charlotte is also in the works as well.
