Melody Holt emerges from heartbreak and reality TV drama better than ever

Holt is forging ahead with the real estate business that once belonged to the showstopping couple, but she has also added the titles of television host and singer-songwriter to her repertoire.

“Releasing music is a part of me rediscovering Mel and I’ve been enjoying it. I can’t wait to share the new music I’ve been working on with fans. We have a video dropping in the next couple of weeks,” she said.

In addition to her music, Holt hosts OWN’s reality documentary, Behind Every Man. “It was truly an honor to be a part of telling these phenomenal stories,” she said.

Holt’s busy schedule has her poised to be the breakout star of the Carlos King-produced series, but she is taking everything in stride. Her priority is to be the best mother she can be and helping her children adjust to their new family structure.

“I hope that one day Martel and I will be able to co-parent amicably. I’ve told him that I am open to our children meeting their new sibling because that’s the right thing to do. I decided I’m going to operate out of love because that is the best thing for the children,” she said.

“Love & Marriage Huntsville” returned on OWN on Saturday July 17, at 9 p.m. EDT.
