“The Dungeon” was a house in Atlanta where the Dungeon Family crew recorded some of their classic and first recordings including OutKast and Goodie Mob’s debut projects with producers Organized Noize. Big Boi bought the home two years ago and had it totally renovated to pay homage to their success and as a museum of sorts for their accomplishments. He also partnered with Airbnb for Black Music Month and offered the home for $25 a night on select dates this past June and July. The lucky guests were only charged $25 a night to commemorate the 25th anniversary of OutKast’s 1996 album, ATLiens.
“Atlanta is my home, and I grew up with the Dungeon Family in this house. We would spend hours hanging out in the basement, writing rhymes and putting together beats at all hours of the night. Since purchasing the home, I’ve been excited to open its doors and welcome the next generation of artists to the space that inspired countless songs,” Big stated on Airbnb’s website.
Big Boi is also an executive producer on the upcoming series through his Big Boi Little Boi Productions.
