Actress Uzo Aduba knows how to keep a secret and her personal life out of Hollywood tabloids. The “Orange Is the New Black” star just revealed that she tied the knot with cinematographer Robert Sweeting last year and shared a photo from her special day on Instagram.
“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” —When Harry Met Sally. For some of us, it can feel like we spend our whole lives waiting for our special someone. My heart, my love — I’m so happy my life started last year with you. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me. ❤️,” the actress posted on IG.
People also reports that Aduba, who currently stars as Dr. Brooke Taylor on the HBO series “In Treatment,” married Sweeting last year in a secret ceremony in New York. “They are celebrating their one-year anniversary this year,” a close insider told People.
Aduba also lost her mother last November but didn’t share her pain publicly until April. Sweeting seems to have helped her with that heartbreaking loss as he also shared a few pictures and a post expressing his love.
“One year ago I married this gorgeous, talented and incredible woman. This past year has made me appreciate the fragile nature of life and the importance of living it. At a time where the world is upside down, we learned to find joy and peace in each other. You are the greatest person I’ve ever know and I’m proud to be your husband. #happyanniversary,” Sweeting wrote.
