- A jury of five men and seven women were selected on Jan. 20, 2022, according to CNN. In addition to the 12 jurors, there are also six alternates. The jury is “overwhelming White,” The New York Times reported. The jury appeared to be White except for one man and woman who both appeared to be Asian. One Black man was on the jury, but was eliminated once he admitted he was unsure if he could remain unbiased due to his race.
