In the latest of Kanye West’s troubling rants on social and traditional media, the rapper finally apologized for saying George Floyd died from drugs instead of a cop’s knee. But in the next breath, Ye compares his situation to both George Floyd and Emmett Till.

In an impromptu press conference in front of a gaggle of paparazzi, Ye walks back his claim that Floyd died of fentanyl poisoning.

“When I see that video as a Black person, it hurts my feelings,” West said, according to HipHopDX. “And I know that police do attack [sic] and that America is generally racist. And I understand that when we got to say Black Lives Matter, the idea of it made us feel good together as a people. Now, afterwards, there was some things where the money went in order to push us to the Democratic vote.”

Ye also said that he realizes that what he said about Floyd’s public execution by convicted murderer Derek Chauvin, a former Minneapolis cop, on Memorial Day 2020 has hurt African Americans.

“So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people,” Ye continued. “I want to apologize. Because God has showed me by what Adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know what it feels like to have a knee on my neck right now.”

Next, Yeezy took to Twitter to petition Ari Emmanuel, the CEO of the William Morris Endeavor, to help the displaced students after the Donda Academy was abruptly shut down. This happened in the aftermath of his anti-Semitic tirades on social media and on podcasts.

Using the horribly disfigured face of Emmett Till, who was famously murdered in Mississippi in 1955 which helped spark the Civil Rights Movement, Kanye speaks directly to Emmanuel.

“Ari Emmanuel, can you find a place for the Donda Academy kids to go to school that’s properly zoned for a school? I got about 60 children that have no place to be as they look to transfer. They tried to dismantle our basketball team. Those boys are being penalized without reason. Even professional athletes were threatened by their owners to disassociate.”

Yeezy claims he’s a victim of “post social media #Blackmirror warfare,” adding that Donda Academy kids are suffering.

Ye also adds he’s the victim of an “economic lynching,” a “digital lynching” and the bankruptcy of his “social credit score.”
