The Houston home belonging to rap star NBA Youngboy was raided by the local SWAT team on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, and three arrests were made.

The situation was made exponentially more delicate because it is the home that Youngboy purchased for his mother, Sherhonda Gaulden, who currently lives there with her son.

There is no word yet on whether the matriarch was there when a massive SWAT van rolled up to the house and barged through the door to arrest three of Youngboy’s associates. Youngboy is currently on home confinement in Utah and was not the target of the raid. He was arrested in his Baton Rouge, Louisiana, hometown after he and his crew brandished firearms on the set of his video in September 2020.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Thomas Gilliland told the media that the three arrests are in connection to a November 2021 shooting of a man. The victim was reportedly shot in the head and body multiple times but survived and has since been released from the hospital.

Police recovered a litany of guns from the dwelling including AR-15 assault rifles, long guns and pistols. The men are facing felony charges ranging from aggravated robbery to aggravated assault.

Meanwhile, Youngboy is still facing unrelated charges of being in possession of weapons as a convicted felon, though his attorney denies that the guns were on his person.
