Short used social media to explain to his fans that he is not the abuser the media and police have portrayed him as. Many fans are skeptical, however, because Short had already rebounded once from a domestic violence arrest to score a coveted role on the ABC smash hit “Scandal” opposite Kerry Washington, but he was immediately removed after that 2018 arrest for beating his current wife.
“The Truth: Marriages are challenging but getting through it is a blessing! I AM not an abusive man nor am I on drugs,” Short wrote on Instagram. “But drinking alcohol makes my mouth get a little out of pocket. That’s the truth. My wife and I are working on our marriage.
