What is your commitment to the community?
My commitment to the community is to help level the playing field for underserved small business owners by being a one-stop resource that empowers their organization to grow by winning contracts with the federal government and major corporations. Additionally, I am committed to operating with a level of excellence that allows my company to be an example for other underserved businesses.
How important is technology for day-to-day operations?
Very important. Because of the technology we have in place, we are able to process certifications, federal registrations and our various other services much faster.
How do you utilize technology with your business?
My company has a very robust CRM system that is connected to our billing and invoicing, scheduling, intake form system and our on-demand web assistant. The technical systems that we have in place [rival] that of many major corporations.
What’s next for the business?
Our goal is to continue to support those partnerships we already have in place and to add new partnerships with other organizations that are committed to helping underserved businesses.
What advice would you give to women wanting to start a business?
Do it scared. Yes, starting and growing a business can be intimidating. Yes, it is a lot of work. Yes, you will put in countless hours. But the reward is so sweet. Don’t give up. Your destiny is ahead of you.
