Michael Jackson was one of the most popular celebrities in the world. Everywhere Jackson was in public, a camera was probably right around the corner. He also made great music, and people are still playing his hits to this day.
Dame Dash thinks that Ye West is on the same trajectory as Jackson.
In a snippet of an interview with The Jasmine Brand that was posted on Feb. 21, Dash referred to West as “our new Michael Jackson.”
“Whether that’s negative or positive, that’s just what it is,” Dash said in the interview. “Every move he makes, everybody’s paying attention to. He triggers the world.”
“Jeen-Yuhs” was recently released on Netflix, which reveals some of the key moments in West’s life. Dash thinks it was a good idea to highlight his moments on camera.
“I was the guy who always ran around with a camera because I knew that these moments were priceless, it was just a matter of when it was time,” Dash said. “I was glad that they actually took that advice and did that, or at least followed the example. I got alot of footage, but it’s just the time, it’s always about the times. I think this is the right time for that.”
Outside of the documentary, West doesn’t have a hard time being the center of attention, as there’s something new being posted on his Instagram almost every day.
